About Elijah
As a student at a competitive residential high school, I understand how stressful and daunting math and physics can be, and my goal is to conjure confidence in student's ability. I teach diligently and in a manner that is both easy to understand but that doesn't leave concepts underdeveloped or unclear. I want to be relatable to student's struggles while also providing the necessary and individualized aid to maximize success.

As a tutor, I help students conceptualize math and physics as a web of interconnected concepts that build off each other, which allows students to have a more thorough understanding of how math works + its physical applications.
I teach primarily through example problems, breaking down each individual component (formulas, approach methods, derivations) and explaining the logical process that allows students to take difficult problems and solve it step by step.
I believe that every student can excel in science and math, and I want to aid students in finding methods that helps them learn most efficiently. I want to not only tutor, but inspire student's learning.
While I am a high school student, I have ample qualifications to assist students:
-I am one of the tutor captains at the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics (SCGSSM).
-I have completed both a course in differential/integral calculus and a course in calculus based physics.
-I am currently a researcher at Clemson University for the MuthComp group working in biophysics and complex fluids.
