About Leah
I want to teach maths to secondary school students because I want each of my students to overcome preconceived mental blocks and feel that mathematical talent only takes you so far, and that with hard work anyone can be good at maths.

I have been tutoring GCSE, and lower, level maths for multiple years and have seen my students grow in confidence and ability. My typical lesson is 1hour long. I talk through the material with my student using creative and logical explanations and then we will review questions together. After the lesson I give each student a set of notes that I made from the previous lesson, including clear steps on how to approach questions. I also provide an appropriate level and amount of questions for them to try independently, which will be reviewed in the next lesson.
I believe that everyone can excel at maths if they are taught correctly, and believe in all my students. My approach to learning has been said to comforting and logical, as I am able to relate to the mathematical challenge students face having been one not too long ago.
