About Jett
A common misconception I think many people have when being tutored is that the person teaching them was born naturally with the ability to teach something like mathematics with ease.
I'm here to tell you that this is completely untrue, and that even those born naturally smart must work hard.
I, like everyone using this service today, have also had moments where I felt as if I needed tutoring, and I'm here to say that it's perfectly normal. I am an avid believer in plasticity of the brain and adopting a growth mindset, because as humans I believe it's important to stand up to challenges and face them head on to improve, as you will all do alongside me in the topic of mathematics.

My teaching method is one of hands-on learning, where I'm working along with you, rather than lecturing at you. Typically, a lesson plan would include a review of concepts to cover, and multiple practice problems I would show, work with the client on, and test when they are confident.
Typically, this would be a process with steadily increasing difficulty, but in the case of something more preparatory i.e. ACT/SAT test prep, we would be working on more challenging problems that would be expected to appear on the exams.
At the end of the day, I want to be a tutor who can work with any kind of student with lessons that truly stick with my clients.
