About Hemosoo
Hi! I’m an engineering student at the University of Pennsylvania with years of tutoring and teaching experience in both math and programming. I’ve worked as a Kumon Math and English tutor, taught Python at a nonprofit, and supported classmates one-on-one throughout high school and college. Because I’ve taught students at many different levels, I’m comfortable adapting to different learning styles and building a plan that fits your goals.
My tutoring style is structured, patient, and results-driven. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts (not just memorize steps) by breaking problems into clear, manageable parts and practicing until the process feels natural. Whether you’re trying to raise your grade, prepare for an exam, or build confidence from the ground up, I’ll meet you where you are and help you make steady progress.
I’m professional, reliable, and organized. I come to lessons prepared, explain ideas clearly, and always make sure you leave with a concrete plan for what to practice next. My goal is for students to feel supported, motivated, and genuinely confident in their ability to succeed.

My approach is to make hard topics feel simple by breaking them into small, logical steps and constantly checking understanding. I start by figuring out exactly where you’re getting stuck, then I teach the “why” with an intuitive explanation, and finally we drill the skill with targeted practice until you can do it confidently on your own. I use lots of mini-checkpoints so we don’t move on with shaky foundations.
