About Aarna
I am someone who has enjoyed reading and English my whole life, aspiring to learn more at university. From my 11+ to my GCSEs I have had plenty of essay writing and creative writing practice in my life; however, I know it isn't always the easiest thing. Having had great tutors and teachers myself who have helped me immensely to go from someone who struggled at school to someone who loved literature and language, I have picked up many skills along the way and I hope to help others to love the subject as much as I do.

I sequence units around the GCSE assessment objectives, interleaving Language and Literature. Lessons begin with retrieval and clear goals, then moving on to analysis and inference, before moving from guided practice to independent writing with success criteria from the mark scheme. I check understanding throughout, giving rapid and targeted feedback. Lessons are typically 45 mins to an hour.
