About James
I have tutored officially for many years now. I tutored every level of Spanish at the Pirate Academic Success Center at ECU for 2 years in college, and on Wyzant, an online tutoring platform, since 2020. I also studied Spanish and linguistics (Spanish and English) at a college level for 5 years so I have a deep understanding of the grammar and rules of English and Spanish.

I have a laid-back approach to teaching language. I believe the best way to learn is to have fun. So, I try to practice conversation building and using examples as much as possible. And if it helps I am able to explain the linguistics side of it as well and explain the 'why' behind it. Every person is different and learns differently so I try to be as kind and encouraging as I can and explain everything on a personable and relatable level!
