About Rosemarie
As for me, I was born in Washington D.C. I have traveled much but have lived mostly either in Maryland or California. After I graduated from high school in Maryland I left for Paris, France to attend Parsons School of Design for a semester, after which I traveled and the next fall, I started at The Cooper Union in New York City. Next, in Maryland I took classes at Prince George’s Community College, which has an excellent art department, and finished my Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art at the University of Maryland in 1999. In 2001 I moved to Modesto, CA. In 2003 I spent two years in Jamestown, CA after which I returned to Modesto to reside to this day. On both the east and the west coasts I have created a wide variety of art. At CSU Stanislaus I earned a CA Single Subject Teaching Credential to teach art. As an artist I have explored many paths: non-objective, abstract, realistic, two-dimensional, three-dimensional, drawing, painting, printmaking, murals, photography, sculpture and ceramics. I also like to cook, play guitar, read and walk and/or jog with my two dogs: Gaby, a Rat Terrier and Luna Bella, a German Shepherd.
