About Sandeep
My name is Mr. Sandeep Kumar and I have completed post-graduation (PG) study in
(Agricultural Engineering) with CGPA of 7.62 out of 10 from Central Agricultural University,
Imphal, India. I feel completely satisfied with my decision to choose Soil and Water
Conservation Engineering (Agricultural Engineering) as my career option as it has revealed the
most pragmatic and down-to-earth approach to tackle farmers’ problems to me. My enthusiasm
coupled with scope for innovations and opportunities available in the field of Agricultural
Engineering has motivated me to apply for higher studies and contribute to the field through more
meaningful research.

The Foundation of this lies in my childhood admiration of my father, a farmer, whom I
frequently accompanied during his on-farm activities. As we all know water is crucial for living
beings whereas the quality and quantity of potable water are depleting on the earth's surface. Due to
poor water management, the considerable area experiences drought conditions despite getting high
rainfall. Also, some part of India, owing to climate change, has a decreasing trend of rainfall.
Therefore, it is a giant challenge to overcome water scarcity. I candidly believe that this can be
done by innovation, research in the field of water management, watershed modeling, climate
change etc. I will truly feel glad to work on water resources planning and management and
watershed modeling with distinguished faculties as mention below.
