I start with NCERT and follow it up with available helpbooks. Some good helpbooks are Dinesh, DC Pandey, Disha publications. Foreign authors like Sears & Zemansky's University Physics are also very good.
JEE Mains is very doable. JEE Advanced requires much stronger preparation.
