About Megan
Hi! My name is Megan I am a student at Southampton University studying sociology. I have a great interest in sociology which I have studied at GCSE, A level and now degree level. Achieving an 8 at GCSE and an A* at a level my passion for sociology is evident. Sociology is such a fascinating and relevant subject that I would love to help students excel in, potentially giving them the same love I have for the subject leading to them pursuing a career within the subject.

Although I adapt my lessons based on the student's own goals, ways of learning and personal preferences, my general lesson structures are organised and effective. Once speaking to the student about their areas for improvement, I make the lesson plans in advance making sure to include practice questions, videos, challenges and content. If it works for the student, I maintain a three-part structure throughout my lesson, the introduction and lesson objectives, the main content and then an overall summary/questions. I keep the pace of my lessons at the speed the student wants to go, often slow and steady ensuring they understand what we have gone over. Additionally, each week we will briefly go over the previous week's content to ensure they are still confident with the information!
