About Emma
My goal as a tutor is to support you and expand your knowledge in ways you'll remember, understand and utilise throughout your studies! I aim to teach you based on your specific learning style at your preferred paces. By working together, we can establish the things you already understand, discuss your goals, and develop your knowledge! I'm young myself, so I fully understand the mental toll education can take on your mental and physical well-being. I'm not aiming to make your studies more stressful and add on pressure - I'm hoping for the exact opposite! This should be a safe space to communicate about anything you'd find helpful discussing, a low-pressure environment and a team effort between us :)

I prefer getting to know the individual themselves and utilise their preferred learning styles - I recommend mind maps, revision cards, scenario-based tasks, and asking varied questions to encourage independent thinking, while providing the option to ask my opinions and collectively come up with ideas! Depending on the topic at hand, lessons vary between 30 mins to 1 hr 30 mins - generally 1 hr. These lessons are for A-level students (both Yr 12 & 13), first-year university students, and anyone interested in learning more about criminology! I've tutored Yr 12 A-level students previously in both criminology and law. I worked in a primary school for 1 yr and completed various other work experiences. I'm qualified in mental health studies, autism awareness and practices, cognitive behavioural therapy, and administrative support. I'm currently studying for my bachelor's in forensics and criminal investigations.
