About Mia
My name is Mia, and I am 26 years of age and live in northern Norway. I've previously worked as a substitute teacher and assistant at schools in Oslo as well as up here in the north. I like working with children and teenagers, and have done so ever since I myself was a teenager. At that point it was through various voluntary cultural positions. In my spare time, I otherwise do a lot of esports, and actively follow it through various games, mainly tactical shooters. I am also very fond of music in all genres, and have a background in music education with my main instrument being song. I also play the guitar and piano.
I became interested in working with teaching and with children quite early on, and at one point had a one-man company for teaching singing. After that I moved to Oslo and quickly got a job at a school there via the Activity School(SFO) where I had a children's choir. I eventually also started doing classes in school as a substitute teacher. I lived in Oslo for 5 years total and eventually moved home to the north again because I missed the nature and the snow (surprisingly enough). I've continued my work here at the local children's school and I'm now a substitute teacher and assistant.

With a focus on the basic understanding of English both orally and in writing, I help my students complete their homework online. The teaching will take place in both Norwegian and English, so that the students get the most out of it, as well as getting comfortable using it on a daily basis.
I've previously worked as a substitute teacher at primary and secondary school, as well as been an assistant, so I'm used to working with children of all ages from different backgrounds and who also may have different challenges. I have a love for English and use it on a daily basis as I work a lot with international esports (competitive gaming) in my spare time. I want to share that love and help my students get a sense of mastery of the language. I do have the most experience with children aged 6-16, but I am however very open to students from high school as well.
