About Kass
I am an American that has lived and taught in the UK for over a decade. I have a BA from Indiana University (in America) and a PGSE-English Pathways from Christ Church Canterbury University (in the UK) and have taught English at the secondary and FE levels, as well as providing private tuition for GCSE and A Level students for eleven years. Prior to relocating to the UK, I taught adult education and worked as a journalist in America. Outside of teaching, I am a father of two and coach a minis rugby team.

I view education as a conversation and seek to make my lessons fun and engaging. I tailor everything to the individual needs of the student with a strong emphasis on Growth Mindset and "the power of yet" - as in, "you may not receive an 8 on your GCSE yet - but you will". I celebrate the little successes and use them to demonstrate progress and motivate my students all the through our time working together.
