About Erica
I specialize in supporting neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, PDA, Gifted, 2e) learners whose challenges extend beyond traditional tutoring.
As an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with over 10 years in special education, my background includes leading specialized ASD classrooms, working as an ABA therapist, supporting complex-needs autism programs, writing and implementing IEPs, and navigating both public and private school systems. I understand neurodivergent learning from inside real classrooms, not just theory.
You can also learn more about my approach through my private practice, Ponte Pathways.

Summer doesn't have to mean lost structure and a hard reset in September.
Many neurodivergent learners actually do better in summer when they have light, consistent support rather than none at all. Without school routines, executive functioning skills like planning, task initiation, and self-regulation can quietly slip, which often shows up as a rough transition back to school.
My summer sessions focus specifically on:
Maintaining learning executive functioning skills through low-pressure, engaging activities
Building independence with simple routines and planning tools
Reducing the anxiety some students feel about the upcoming school year
Light academic skill maintenance, only where it genuinely helps
This is not drill-based tutoring. It is relationship-based, neuroaffirming support designed to keep your child steady and confident through the summer so September feels like a continuation, not a reset.
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to real lessons experienced by the students of Erica.
Perfect! My daughter (Gr 11) has been working with Erica on homework completion and organization for a month now. Erica is amazing - very competent, super prepared for each session, understands how to explain subjects at the level of the student, breaks tasks down to the level of the student. She can tackle any subject. Erica is also super friendly, patient, understanding and talks at a pace that works for my daughter. I would highly recommend her especially if your child needs extra support with homework in high school.
- Svetlana and her daughter have been lovely to work with. Looking forward to more successful lessons!Erica's response :

Erica is patient, knowledgeable and truly dedicated to her student’s success. Erica has the expertise to develop impactful plans for all different situations; high school or elementary classes, neurodivergent or neurotypical kids.
Her passion for creating equal opportunities for neurodivergent kids really shines through her consulting and IEP supports. She will advocate for your child like no teacher before!I know Erica is somebody that has developed patience and understanding to people who need it and who sometimes struggle to find that patience and understanding from others. As someone who is neurodivergent, I can vouch for her ability to be patient with students who fall under that umbrella as being a student with similar difficulties I can recognize when someone is showing compassion in teaching and assisting those students and can recognize that she goes above and beyond. This ability is certainly one to extend to all students of different walks of life. As someone who has interacted with Erica, I can assure who that she holds the trustworthiness, skills, and capabilities to be a great teacher for every student that she comes across.
Erica is extremely patient, compassionate and knowledgeable. She has years of experience working with special needs children and has proven to be great teacher.
We had the absolute privilege of working with Erica and I can confidently say she is one of the most compassionate, caring, and trustworthy individuals we've ever met. Her work with autistic children is nothing short of inspiring.
From the very beginning, she demonstrated a deep understanding of the unique needs of neurodivergent learners. She approached each session with patience, warmth, and a genuine desire to connect. What truly sets her apart is her ability to meet children where they are, building trust and confidence in a way that feels natural and empowering.
She doesn’t just teach—she listens, adapts, and supports the whole child. Her sessions are thoughtfully tailored, engaging, and always filled with encouragement. It’s clear she takes the time to truly know each student as an individual, not just as a learner but as a person.
As a parent, I always felt completely at ease knowing my child was in her care. Her professionalism is matched only by her heart. She has made a lasting impact not only on our child’s academic progress but also on their self-esteem and joy in learning.
I wholeheartedly recommend Erica to any family seeking a tutor who brings kindness, skill, and true dedication to their work. She is a rare gem, and we are endlessly grateful for all she has done.View more recommendations
