About Desiree
I have been teaching for one year in the Hartford area. I taught two math blocks totaling 39 students from September-June. As a result of the work we did together, all but two students saw anywhere between one month to almost three years' growth in Math.

I'm a community educator qualified to give instruction in Mathematics to students in grades 4-6. As an educator, and someone who was a kid who struggled with math herself, I understand that there is more than one way to arrive to a correct answer, so my focus is largely on making sure kids grasps conceptual ideas in mathematics before applying any procedural work.
