About Alison
I am a Primary teacher with Special Ed training, holding a BEd/Spec Ed (Hons) I have taught in main stream, special units and pre-schools. I have been a private home tutor for over 12 years on the Sunshine Coast.

I look at each student as an individual and program to their needs. I offer a variety of teaching methods such as games, crafts and worksheets. I make my own worksheets, resources and readers. I use my own phonics program for struggling readers/spellers. I follow the Qld Curriculum and adjust this to cater for each student's needs and to their learning ability. I do pre and post testing to ensure that my students are progressing and as a way of supporting all parent/s in their child's learning.
