About Amelia
Hi there! I`m Amelia - a Biology and Science teacher, originally from New Zealand. After teaching for 4 years in New Zealand I have been living in London teaching, tutoring and nannying for the past 2 years.
Families I have worked for tell me that I am incredibly patient, friendly, and passionate. If there is something your child is struggling with, be it understanding content, or gaining confidence when approaching exam questions, I will find a way to help them make sense of it all.
Specifc strategies that I work with: Using creativity as a learning tool, with diagrams, mnemonics, song, tactile modelling.
Not only do I help students with specific scientific concepts and exam preparation, I also encourage and demonstrate techniques for them to use to facilitate their own independent learning and study, as well as strategies to help manage stress and anxiety that can occur in the lead up to exams.
Assisting a student in their academic development is one of my true passions in life, so feel free to get in contact and see if I am the right fit for your child.
