About Catalina
"Teaching started for me because I noticed textbooks often failed to capture the pulse of actual language. I hold a BA TESOL from Massey University and have guided students through the complexities of French for 13 years. My work focuses on writing skills, cultural context, vocabulary building, and listening practice.
You will find that everyday phrases for beginners, reading comprehension, verb conjugation, and business French are central to my method. Role play and dialogue practice are also key components of how I structure our time together. If you want to chat about your goals, just send me a message."

"Does a classroom ever feel like a place where you just memorize lists of words? My lessons feel more like a lively exchange where we use media and real dialogue.
They are built around the NZ NCEA curriculum levels 1 through 3 and University Entrance. I provide free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes as an extra resource.
You will find that 8 distinct steps guide our path toward fluency. We aim to move beyond dry drills and connect with the language. I look forward to seeing you progress toward your French goals."
