About Tawanda
Within my 19 years of experience as a Tutor and Technical Skills Instructor, I have taught everything from Robotics and Pre-Calculus to Mathematics for Ship Builders and other skilled trades professionals most of whom attended my courses to help prepare to aptitude exams. I am confident that my techniques and approach to the topics that I cover are effective as I have a proven track record of successfully explaining technical information to non technical people. My education and certifications in Engineering and Construction have prepared me to hold positions where I am expected to solve problems daily using technical and scientific principles. It is my goal to ensure that each of my students are successful in their goal of learning mathematics.

I firmly believe that in mastering the fundamentals. While challenging my learners and helping them grow is very important to me I value a strong foundation, in my opinion it supports and promotes the confidence needed to continue building skills. When teaching my aim is not to confuse the learner or distract them with lengthy calculations and the mechanics of solving math problems but to focus more on the application and theory that supports the mechanics. My lessons are geared towards adults that are looking to enter into technical fields.
