About Jessica
Hi! My name is Jess. As a first-year medical student, I bring a strong academic background and a passion for teaching. A-levels: - Biology A* - Chemistry A - Mathematics A - EPQ A* My previous tutoring experience includes A-level Biology and Chemistry, where I have successfully helped students improve their understanding and performance in preparation for A-levels. Additionally, I have two years of experience as a children's swimming teacher, which has honed my ability to communicate effectively and adapt my teaching methods to suit individual needs. My diverse teaching background enables me to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for my students.

My lessons are designed to be engaging and student-centred, focusing on individual learning styles and needs. I blend different resources and learning techniques to break down complex problems to provide a deeper understanding and retention of material, before applying to exam questions. Regular personalised feedback will help guide our sessions and allow continuous improvement and adaptation to each student's pace and progress. My hope for the sessions is not only to help improve grades, but improve the students' confidence by creating a safe space where students feel comfortable to ask questions.
