About Braylonel
I’m planning to move to Florida after I graduate and attend the University of Miami, where I want to major in pre-med and continue toward medical school to become a doctor.
My interest in medicine started through hands-on exposure and conversations with professors and lab researchers, which gave me a real look into what working in healthcare actually involves. I’ve also done lung cancer research, which helped me understand the science behind disease on a deeper level and made me more serious about pursuing medicine long-term.
Right now, I’m also working on a startup nonprofit called Carelia, an online platform designed to help people check symptoms and access basic health information. Alongside that, I’m in advanced classes to challenge myself academically and stay prepared for the path ahead.
I’m also currently working on getting a better understanding of neuroscience and how the brain functions, since I’m really interested in how biology and behavior connect and what that means in a medical setting.
Outside of academics, I play soccer, which has helped me build discipline, consistency, and teamwork.
Overall, I’m focused on building experience in both science and real-world environments so I can fully commit to becoming a doctor and working in a hospital setting one day.
