About Dhruv
My name is Dhruv. I am a dedicated and successful student with a strong academic record. I am currently studying a wide range of GCSE subjects, such as maths, English, and the sciences. I am expected to get top grades, and I study in a disciplined and methodical way, which I bring to my tutoring.
I help students get ready for the 11+ and know what it takes to pass selective school entrance exams. I've worked with younger students before, so I know how to explain things clearly, boost their confidence, and help them improve their skills and test-taking skills.
I am proud of being professional, organised, and dependable. I plan each lesson carefully to fit the student's level and goals, and I make sure that progress is always tracked. I also think it's very important to make the classroom a place where students feel safe asking questions and want to do better.
As someone who has recently been in competitive academic settings, I can not only help you learn more about the subject, but also give you practical advice on how to study well, manage your time, and answer hard questions with confidence.
My goal is not only to help students pass their tests, but also to help them develop the skills and confidence they need to do well in school.

I’m Dhruv, a high-achieving GCSE student with a strong academic track record and a genuine interest in helping younger students succeed. Having recently gone through a rigorous academic environment myself, I understand exactly what is required to perform well in selective exams like the 11+.
My approach to tutoring is structured, engaging, and tailored to each student. I focus on building a solid foundation in core areas such as Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning, while also developing exam technique and confidence. I break down difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps and use regular practice questions to reinforce understanding. I also make sure lessons stay interactive so students remain focused and motivated.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes. This usually includes a mix of teaching new content, guided practice, and timed exam-style questions, followed by feedback and strategies for improvement. I also track progress over time to ensure consistent development.
Although I am early in my tutoring journey, I have experience explaining concepts clearly through helping peers and teaching younger students in subjects like Maths and languages. This has helped me develop patience, clarity in communication, and an understanding of how different students learn.
My lessons are aimed at primary school students preparing for the 11+, typically ages 7–11. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s level, whether they are just starting preparation or aiming to refine their skills for top grammar school performance.
