About Riya
I'm an English Literature student at Delhi University, offering friendly and clear online guidance for first-year students studying Introduction to Literary Studies. I focus on helping students understand key concepts in simple language, improving text commentary skills, and reading texts closely. Classes are friendly and interactive, with explanations, short examples, and time for questions. My goal is to make literature feel more approachable and help students build confidence in understanding and writing about literature.

I offer online tutoring for DU B.A. (Hons.) English students, with a special focus on *Introduction to Literary Studies*. As an English Literature student myself, I understand that literary studies can sometimes feel difficult or confusing, especially when you are new to the subject.
My approach is simple: I focus on helping students understand the ideas rather than simply memorising them. I explain literary terms and concepts in simple language, discuss important texts and poems, and help students understand how to approach text commentary and literary analysis.
A typical class will include an explanation of the topic, discussion of the text or concept, examples, and time for questions and doubts. I also encourage students to participate in the discussion so that they can develop their own understanding of literature.
These classes are mainly intended for college-level students, particularly DU B.A. (Hons.) English students in their first year who are studying *Introduction to Literary Studies*. The classes are suitable for students who want to understand the subject more clearly, discuss difficult topics, improve their text commentary skills, and prepare for their exams in a comfortable and approachable environment.
I offer online one-hour sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 PM.
