About Tracy
I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education and have 17 years of teaching experience, with certifications in Special Education (EC–12), Educational Diagnostician, 4–8 All Subjects, and ESL. My approach to teaching math is hands-on, step-by-step, and personalized. I break down complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps, use visual supports and real-world examples, and check for understanding often. I encourage students to think through problems, explain their reasoning, and build confidence as independent learners.

My math lessons are designed for elementary to middle school students (grades k–8) who need support in strengthening their math skills, whether they are struggling, need extra practice, or are looking for enrichment. I work with students who may need help with foundational skills (such as fractions, decimals, and number sense), as well as those preparing for pre-algebra and algebra concepts. I also support English Language Learners and students with special education needs, providing strategies that make math understandable, engaging, and less stressful.
