I adapt my teaching approach based on each student's needs and preferences. From my experience, I find it beneficial to elucidate the derivation of formulas and the underlying intuition behind them, often investing time in comprehending proofs or specific mathematical concepts for around four minutes.
In introductory courses, I engage in collaborative discussions with students, exploring the theories while critically examining their strengths and weaknesses.
For advanced courses, I prioritize building intuition alongside theory development. By starting with intuitive concepts and gradually unfolding the theory step by step, students grasp the rationale behind each concept, ensuring a deeper understanding beyond memorizing final formulas.
