About Umar
I have taught both in a professional and unprofessional capacity. I am a leader on a robotics team which requires me to teach new computer science and math ideas to those completely new to physics and robotics. I also teach classmates and students in an unprofessional setting at libraries or in classes to increase engagement during class. My explanations are straightforward, but because of my experience in teaching I am able to explain things clearly and use real life examples or drawings. Lastly, I consider myself to be kind and patient and not easily frustrated.

My lessons are straightforward but are detailed with examples and drawings which have proven to work well in increasing GPA for students I have taught before. My lessons teach and reinforce general concepts and patterns instead of encouraging memorization. I was never able to memorize things so I do not expect you to do so either which is why after all concepts I check only for understanding of the concept through problems instead of trick questions or tests of memory.
