About Yolanda
I've taught for over twenty years, so I've met many different types of students. I am keen to make my students comfortable and confident in their lessons. As we build a relationship through learning, I use their strengths to help them improve. I keep lessons friendly and relaxed but always work at the high standards that will take students to the next level of their learning.

I start with assessing the student's level of English to understand their needs. I use high-quality resources designed for teaching English for Academic Purposes and IELTS. I give oral feedback during the lesson and written feedback after assignments. I have over 20 years of teaching experience in the UK, the Middle East, and Australia, and several years teaching ESOL to adults and older teens. A typical lesson is one hour long, but longer lessons can be negotiated. For students seeking to improve their dissertations or written assignments, I can provide corrections while you are present so you can learn from your errors, but I can also proofread without your attendance.
