About Natalia
I am a fully registered teacher of Art and Design and have extensive experience using a range of artistic mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography, and I have been engaged with contemporary art and design practices for over a decade. During my time teaching I have assessed and moderated National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher folios with my colleagues. My knowledge of the Art and Design curriculum enables me to design and deliver learning experiences that are engaging, challenging, and fun, building confidence and enthusiasm for Art.
My classroom culture promotes self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-expression allowing young people to develop their creativity, aesthetic awareness and interests, while also building their curiosity and imagination. I strive to be inclusive and culturally responsive, ensuring that young people are learning how to become effective contributors by exposing them to a range of perspectives and artists from diverse cultural backgrounds, deepening their empathy and understanding of the world around them.
I have considered my moral duty to educate my pupils on social issues that they can become responsible citizens. I have woven important issues such as mental health and environmental pollution into my lessons, guiding young people towards becoming aware, respectful and confident individuals who can share their thoughts and emotions, as well as being well versed in making good and true, moral judgements. In addition to my passion for art and design, I have strong communicative abilities that allow me to engage and inspire. I am confident that my approach to teaching is student-centred, and I foster an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity. I create a safe and nurturing classroom where students are encouraged to think critically and explore their own creativity.

As a private tutor of art and design, my approach is all about unlocking creativity and helping my students develop their own unique artistic styles. I believe that everyone has the ability to create beautiful things, and my mission is to provide the tools, techniques, and guidance needed to bring that creativity to life.
To achieve this, I focus on empowering my students and fostering a positive learning environment. I encourage experimentation and exploration, and I make sure to tailor my instruction to the individual needs and goals of each student. Whether we're working on painting, drawing, sculpture, or any other art form, I prioritize hands-on learning and provide plenty of opportunities for practice and feedback.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a deep passion for art and design, which I strive to impart to my students. I believe that art has the power to inspire, communicate, and shape the world around us, and I work hard to instill that same passion in the next generation of creators.
