About Engin
Hello! I'm Engin. I live in Istanbul and am pursuing a PhD in Modern Turkish Language. I spend most of my time reading and listening to music. I write modern short stories and classical poems. I play the bağlama (Turkish lute) amateurishly. I love traveling and exploring new places in nature. I've traveled all over Türkiye and camped in many places. I love finding common ground with people, laughing, and making others laugh. I have both a BA and MA in Turkish Language and Literature. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Modern Turkish Language. I taught Turkish to international students at Yeditepe University for a time. I've also been teaching online Turkish courses for all language levels for about five years. I hold a Certificate in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language and a Certificate in Pedagogical Formation.

I see language teaching not just as a profession, but as something I truly love. It's a hobby I enjoy. It's a part of my life. If I can make friends with my students, learning and teaching cease to be a chore for me. That's how I look forward to the lessons. My goal is for you to understand me and express yourself. If you can understand me, and I can understand you, it means "We did it!" :) If you stick with me and don't give up, I'm sure one day we'll say "We did it!" I can't wait to meet you!
My first and most important rule in language teaching is to have healthy and fun conversations. I adapt all other methods and techniques to your needs and level. Whether it's speaking, listening, writing, reading, or grammar, I focus specifically on your needs. I use a variety of activities in my lessons. These activities will help you better experience the real language context. I'm sure we'll get along well.
