About Amy
After years of teaching in local schools, I realised that not every student is best suited to the rigid environment of the traditional school system. Many of my students wanted to be moving around, interacting with peers and exploring their interests. One day I discovered that there is a whole movement of Self-Directed Learners who are succeeding in life without school and I knew I had to help more people discover this option for their families.

I start by finding out what a student's interests are and what their learning style is. I then help them find ways to explore their interests in the real world. This might mean suggesting an online course, helping them start a local meetup group or connecting them with an industry expert.

Details
The rate is $30/week for an hour of mentoring, learning strategies and career advice, plus $30/week for online and face-to-face assistance in setting up a self-directed program. This rate of $60 total per week is negotiable and no one will never be turned away based on an inability to pay the set rate. Discounts are available for low income earners and people who are willing to volunteer by sharing their interests with other members of the program.
