About Ricardo
I am a Spanish as a foreign-language teacher based in Salt Lake City, UT. I have a B.A. in Translation and Interpretation from Central University of Venezuela. Spanish is my native language, but I also have near-native proficiency in American English and advanced knowledge of French. I have been studying languages (and the cultures of the peoples who speak them) for more than 15 years.

Beginner students learn how to introduce themselves, ask and answer questions about personal details, use everyday expressions, and interact with a person who speaks clearly and slowly. They understand how to make sense of sentences and can talk about aspects of their background and environment.
Intermediate students learn how to describe experiences and events, and give reasons for their opinions. They learn how to deal wit while traveling in a Spanish-speaking country and can produce simple text and speech on topics of personal interest. Eventually, they are able to interact fluently with native Spanish speakers.
Advanced students hone their skills and knowledge. They learn how express themselves fluently and automatically. They notice implicit meaning and can talk about a wide range of subjects. They reach a point where they can easily understand virtually everything they hear or read.
