About Katia
I’m a biologist with a PhD in Oceanography and over 16 years of experience in Paleontology, Environmental Geology, Biology and Oceanography. I’ve worked as a university professor, teaching courses such as Micropaleontology and Paleontology, Aquatic Ecosystems, Microbiology, and Evolution of Life, and I’ve supervised both undergraduate and graduate research projects. My background includes research in Brazil and Canada, including paleoenvironmental reconstruction, manatee behavior monitoring, and environmental education. I’ve also participated in oceanographic expeditions and scientific collaborations in Antarctica.
