About Thomas
I am an experienced self-made farmer from a non-farming family, having studied for over 5 years and worked on farms across England and Scotland, from the low fertile lands to the high rough grazing lands and islands! I have worked for an agricultural college, led a team of dairy workers, worked long hours in the saddle of new & old machinery and developed a farm from scratch that was centred around teaching. I have long delivered to groups of rural professionals and seek to help those like myself taking further steps into the rural economy and gaining a greater understanding of all that feeds us and engineers our food producing landscape and businesses.

My teaching methods are entirely catered around what works best for you! Such as learning texts, succinct points, or discussions. I can create scenarios, provide examples and happy to cater to real-world experiences. Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long, this can take place on a video call or as a visit to you (if that's how you learn best). Breaks will be taken if you need to reset for focus, and sessions will be paced to maintain engagement. I gained my Honours degree alongside founding and running an agricultural society that helped engage less knowledgeable about the works of farming. I have also worked over 20 months for an Agriculture college assisting the teaching different courses and instructing practical elements of agriculture. I have also delivered talks to organisations about specialist subjects in farming. I am well experienced in agricultural study, business, technologies as well as comprehensive practical experience over years of employment and engagement over different agricultural practices across the UK. I deliver to all ages of students, and can tutor Educational Level 1-5 (NC,HNC,HND). Fancy a farm walk? Or have a farm?
