Perfect! I have been taking Arabic lessons with Md Arif since January 2026 and the experience has been very positive so far. He is always punctual, well prepared, and structures the lessons clearly using recognised Arabic learning books along with his own extensive knowledge of the language.
One thing that really stands out is his ability to explain the differences between Classical (Qur’anic) Arabic and modern or conversational Arabic. His explanations of vocabulary and grammar are clear and easy to follow, and he has a very sharp memory when it comes to lesson progress — even if I forget where we stopped or certain rules, he quickly helps bring everything back together.
As a teacher he is friendly, patient and very encouraging, which creates a relaxed environment for learning. This makes it much easier to ask questions and build confidence with the language. He is also flexible during lessons if a student needs a short mental break, but he always manages to bring the conversation back to the lesson plan so progress continues.
Another thing I appreciate is that most of the practice is done interactively during the lesson rather than relying heavily on homework. This works well for me alongside other commitments. In a relatively short space of time he has already helped me reach a level where I can read Arabic, understand a range of topics, and even compose sentences and short passages.
Overall the lessons are both constructive and enjoyable, and I genuinely look forward to them. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in learning Arabic, whether for Qur’anic study or general language learning. I’m looking forward to continuing the lessons after the Eid break.
