About Reesa
11 years of experience through Schooling, Private Lessons, Chamber Orchestras, and Minneapolis Youth Symphony Group. 4 Years of Teaching Experience - From 1st graders to young adults! I absolutely LOVE working with young musicians; whether it's the first time you're picking up a violin, or you are experienced and wish to continue your growth - I am here to support you the whole way. I am a young and aspiring musician myself, and am continuously learning more every day about this instrument, as well as how to fit your own needs and wants - we are in this together!! You will have a lot of freedom in what we choose to learn and work on, as my biggest fear is for you to be unexcited or unmotivated for what techniques or pieces we work on, or as something that may feel like a chore.

Get to CHOOSE what you work on and learn - after all it is YOUR lesson! I believe a young musician should have a lot of say in what they will spend practicing, as freedom in musicality is just as important as having access to the instrument.
Something I am very big on is muscle memory and reliability - as I will often have the student play a short phrase 5-8 times consecutively to acquire muscle memory, strength, and technique.
Virtual Learning through Zoom and Google Meet
Extremely Flexible Schedule - allows your lesson time to be changed as future conflicts may arise; whether its 2 days ahead or 10 minutes.
Direct contact with me WHENEVER - allowing you to get a hold of me if you have any questions or need help with what you’ve been assigned to practice for that week. (This could mean a quick 10 minute Zoom call to run over something again, me sending a video via email for confirmation of a certain piece, or extra verbal instruction, etc..)
A typical lesson plan will be made to challenge you and push you out of your comfort zone - allowing your skills to grow, and your technique and variety to flourish.
