About Kanisha
Hi, I am a second-year university student wishing to pass down my extensive knowledge in Biology to students in need of support. I have a passion for learning and teaching, with experience in tutoring others. Therefore, I am aware of how to explain concepts in ways that can be easily understood and digested. I have excellent time-managing abilities and can multitask well, making me a reliable tutor who will respond back to any queries or messages promptly. As a student myself, I’m aware each student grasps concepts differently. I aim to take a more student-led learning approach by following what has worked best for students and what topics they struggle most in. I teach with a mix of visual aids and demonstrations to ensure hard-to-grasp concepts are understood. Questions related to the topic being studied will be worked through as well as past papers to ensure familiarity with the nuanced mark scheme and types of questions that may be asked.
Typical lessons are an hour long to give enough time to thoroughly cover topics and ensure understanding. Lessons are aimed at GCSE students, either in year 10 or 11. I am experienced in tutoring younger years, with tutoring science at my own school to support those struggling. I thoroughly understand complex concepts from further studies in A-Level Biology therefore can confidently explain them in an easy-to-understand way.

Kanisha is a really great teacher! She takes the necessary time needed to explain something to you if you don’t understand something and is also really sweet.
