About Leo
Hello! As a passionate mathematician, I aim to share my love for mathematics with those seeking to expand or bolster their existing knowledge. I'm based in Bristol, originally from North London, and currently, I'm a Year 13 student at college, studying further mathematics and film studies. I am currently applying to do mathematics at university. Presently, my mathematical interests revolve around cryptography and statistical analysis for real-world problem-solving. I completed my mathematics A-level last year with an A*, and I'm now actively seeking opportunities to further challenge and expand my mathematical horizons. Fun facts about me: I have a cat named Frida! I play the saxophone! I enjoy wild swimming!

With an unprecedented amount of experience for my age, totalling 2 and a half years of tutoring, I've had the privilege of mentoring my peers and GCSE students through a programme aimed at helping disadvantaged students. I've worked with learners at various stages, whether it's preparing them for exams or nurturing their mathematical thinking. Additionally, I have experience working with students who have dyslexia and other special needs. My teaching philosophy revolves around a hands-on learning approach, customised to each student's unique needs. Understanding your goals is a crucial part of my methodology. Before each session, we'll collaborate to pinpoint what you'd like to focus on, ensuring that our time together is as productive as possible. A typical lesson will involve teaching or reinforcing a concept, followed by practical application within relevant contexts. While I find an hour to be a suitable duration for most, I'm flexible and dedicated to finding the optimal timeframe and method that works best for you. My aim is to make the learning experience as effortless and enjoyable as possible for you or your child. I have previously tutored students for the 11+, 13+, and 16+ exams, as well as GCSEs and A-levels. Additionally, I've provided supplementary maths support to primary and secondary school students.
