About Grayse
Hello! My name is Grace, and I’m currently a student studying in Singapore Polytechnic. I believe everyone can get better at math with enough practice and the right guidance, so I’m here to make things clearer, encourage questions and cheer on progress together. Since I’m a student myself, I understand what it’s like to sometimes feel nervous around teachers. I’m here to be approachable, friendly, and patient, so students can feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal is to make math less scary and more fun, and to support each student as they gain confidence and improve.

Start by chatting to figure out which topics the student feels stuck on or dreads the most
Revisit and explain key math ideas simply, using drawings or real-life examples to help things click.
Work on weak areas first, setting small goals, and build up with bite-sized exercises focused on those topics.
Mix in different types of questions, especially tricky word problems and past PSLE papers to build confidence and spot common patterns.
Go through mistakes together, talking about what went wrong and how to avoid it next time, keep an “error log” so the student can see progress.
Use bar models, sketches, or hands-on materials for tough problems to make solutions clearer and less intimidating.
Occasionally set up mini practice tests under timed conditions to help manage exam stress and boost speed.
Encourage the student to explain their working and reasoning in their own words, so they really “own” what they’ve learned.
Celebrate effort and improvements, no matter how small, to keep motivation strong and make math feel less daunting.
