About Elsie
I am a committed Guitar tutor with 8 years of tutoring experience, helping high school students, college learners, and adults learn guitar in a supportive environment. So far, I have successfully taught around 300 students.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, structured lessons, and steady improvement. I believe students learn best when lessons are simple, organised, and encouraging.
In my lessons, students begin with the basics such as proper hand position, chord practice, rhythm exercises, strumming techniques, and finger strength training. These skills help them develop strong technique and confidence.
I also encourage students to learn songs they enjoy, which makes practice more engaging and fun.
Teaching many students has helped me develop effective ways to explain guitar concepts in a simple and practical manner.
Some of my students have successfully performed in school functions and college programmes, which shows their progress and dedication.
My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their guitar skills, and enjoy learning music.

My teaching methodology focuses on helping students learn Guitar in a practical and engaging way. I believe that strong communication and adapting to different learning styles are important for effective teaching. In my lessons, students learn fundamental Guitar techniques such as chords, strumming patterns, rhythm exercises, scales, and finger practice. These basics help students build a strong foundation and improve their playing ability.
I explain concepts in simple steps and use demonstrations to help students understand each technique clearly. I also use real-life musical examples and case studies from songs so students can see how Guitar techniques are used in real performances.
Along with Guitar training, I teach related subjects such as music theory basics, ear training, rhythm practice, improvisation basics, and songwriting fundamentals. These topics help students become more complete musicians. My aim is to help students develop confidence, creativity, and strong Guitar skills while enjoying their musical journey.
