Patient, kind and considerate of people's specific learning needs, I possess strong teaching skills - skills I firstly developed during my overseas 12-month voluntary English-teaching placement before uni. On placement, outside of larger classroom environments, I provided tutoring with smaller groups of students, often one-to-one, and kept classes catered to student requirements and abilities.
Having studied languages from a young age, I have first-hand experience of what it is to learn a language, the challenges it poses and the necessary steps to overcome them. Experienced in receiving stimulating exercises through reading, listening and speaking activities, I can provide a range of exciting learning methods that make learning a language a fun and rewarding experience.
A typical French/Italian lesson might consist of informal conversation practice, followed by a closer reading of a text of interest. We can also look at the more technical side of languages and work through some grammar exercises too, slowly and under no pressure. For more advanced classes, we can look at working on translation skills.
