About Brian
My name is Brian D., my students call me Dr. D. I am a high school math teacher with a strong background in various levels of math and have been teaching and tutoring all levels of math since 2005.
I believe in finding where the student is struggling with the material and then using the knowledge they do have to help them solve the problem. I believe in using examples to help a student understand how to approach problems and then have them try them on their own.
Many students that have worked with me in the past start to really understand math when they previously couldn't!
I can tutor any math level from kindergarten through College Math, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, IB math, AP Calculus, College Algebra, College Trigonometry, and College Calculus! Plus I also tutor for ACT and SAT math.
My qualifications are:
*High school math teacher - since 2005
*Professional secondary math license
*Doctorate in Education -- so I know the best ways that students learn!
*Taught and tutored in both online and traditional environments
*Lead teacher/tutor for high school math tutoring club
