About Aimah
I am a friendly, approachable and motivated individual who enjoys working with young people and supporting them in their education. I am patient, understanding and reliable, and I always aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable being themselves.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy musical theatre and staying active. I regularly go to the gym and enjoy playing sports such as netball and swimming. I also value having a good balance between my academic and personal life, which helps me stay motivated and organised.
I enjoy meeting new people and building positive relationships, and I believe that creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere is an important part of helping students feel comfortable and confident.

My lessons are suitable for students of different abilities, including those who are looking to strengthen their understanding, build confidence, or prepare for their GCSE exams.
I have two years of tutoring experience, during which I have supported GCSE-level students in developing their understanding and confidence. Through this experience, I have learnt to adapt my teaching approach to each student’s individual needs, whether they require help understanding difficult concepts, practising exam questions, or building confidence in a particular topic.
My approach to tutoring is centred around making students feel confident in the subject while developing a strong understanding of the key concepts. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student, as everyone learns differently.
I typically begin by identifying areas the student finds challenging, then explain concepts clearly using simple examples before working through questions together. I also use exam-style questions to help students apply their knowledge and become familiar with the types of questions they will encounter in their GCSE exams. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems independently, providing guidance whenever needed.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate. I am a third-year Biological Sciences student, projected to graduate with a First Class degree, and I have a strong academic background in Biology and the other sciences.
