About Jonathan
Hi, I’m Jonathan! I’m a junior at Tufts University studying Data Science with a minor in Economics, where I’ve honed both my analytical and communication skills through experiences in private equity, data research, and software development. Beyond academics, I love collaborating with others; whether that’s building models, coding new tools, or helping teammates on the soccer field. Tutoring allows me to combine my technical strengths with my passion for helping others grow. I approach every student with patience, curiosity, and genuine care, aiming to make even the toughest subjects feel approachable and rewarding. Outside of tutoring, you’ll probably find me at the gym, trying a new restaurant, or cheering on Manchester United. My tutoring approach is centered on collaboration, communication, and care. I prepare materials a week in advance and create structured lesson plans that include practice questions for students to complete before and during our sessions. The first half of each lesson focuses on key concepts and guided problem-solving, while the second half is dedicated to addressing the student’s questions, assignments, and areas of difficulty. I believe that open communication is essential; students learn best when they feel heard and supported. I love tutoring because it allows me to help students build confidence and truly understand challenging material. My lessons are best suited for students seeking support in mathematics from elementary school through 9th or 10th grade.
