About Tianyi
I have a solid educational background and strong cross-cultural communication skills. Currently, I’m an online Chinese teacher for international students, with a focus on spoken Chinese and culture. I hold a Master's degree from the University of Bristol and have strong language skills in both Chinese and English. In my teaching, I focus on personalised instruction, tailoring lessons to each student’s language level, learning goals, and interests. My classes are interactive and relaxed, with an emphasis on real-life situations. I use role-play, daily conversations, reading, and cultural stories to improve students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I also encourage open discussions, helping students express their views and build confidence in their speaking skills. I believe language and culture go hand-in-hand, so I integrate cultural topics like festivals, history, and current events into lessons to increase students’ interest and cultural understanding.
