About Hailey
Hello. My name is Hailey Sharp. I have 8 years of piano experience under my belt. While in High School, I competed in the Dahle Performing Arts Festival, twice. On my first try, I earned 2nd place in the piano division. Undeterred, I came back the following year, and won 1st prize!
I have always loved learning new things. Now, I am grateful that I can help others learn skills that will help them be successful, not just with piano.
I am excited to be your piano instructor, and I can't wait to meet you and help you see your true potential for piano!

About the lesson

Lesson Duration: Each lesson lasts for 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the needs and preferences of the student, and (if applicable), the students parents/guardians.
Lesson Schedule: Lessons are available up to 2 times per week, from Monday to Friday, with rare exceptions being on Saturday. More information given upon request.
Your First Lesson: During your first lesson, you will be provided with a digital syllabus, a contract, and a placement test. These documents are important to the success of the student, and will help me know how to better teach the student.
Syllabus: The Syllabus informs you of what to expect from me, as your teacher, and what I expect from you, as the student. It will provide you with a list of items that are recommended that you get, as well as a brief description of how the course will work, and the objectives of this course.
Contract: The contract is to show that you, as the student and/or the parents/guardians of the student, understand what is to be expected from you, and what you can expect from me. Communication and understanding play a very important part in the success of the student.
Placement Test: The placement test is to help me understand, as your teacher, what I should start with when teaching you. It will place you in one of 4 different levels, according to your abilities.
Students: To be an eligible student, one must have a piano/keyboard readily available. I am only accepting beginner piano students that are serious about learning something new and are ready to have fun while they learn.
