About Katherine
I have experienced struggling with math, but I was able to improve my understanding of math through better study techniques and habits. Due to my experience in overcoming my struggle with math, I believe I can help others who are struggling with math. I scored a 5 in AP Calculus BC and 1550 on the SAT on my first attempt. I am also an IB Diploma student, so I can also teach time management skills. I also have experience with tutoring as I tutored 2-3X per week for NHS.

I teach using both a numerical and graphical approach. Using both approaches when doing math helps students gain a better understanding of the problem and the underlying mathematical concepts and reasoning. My lessons are best suited for K-12 students who need help with any level of math up to and including calculus. I can also help others who are struggling on the SAT.
