About Prajith
Hi! I'm Prajith, a dedicated and passionate Year 11 maths tutor with a strong academic record as a straight-A student. Over the past few years, I've accumulated more than 100 hours of tutoring experience, helping students strengthen their mathematical understanding and build confidence in their abilities.
My tutoring journey began by working with Grade 7 students, where I noticed that many struggled because of gaps in their understanding of fundamental concepts. This inspired me to focus on teaching younger students in Years 4 and 5, where I can help build a strong mathematical foundation that sets them up for long-term success. I tailor every lesson to each student's learning style, using clear explanations, practical examples, and engaging activities to make maths enjoyable and easy to understand.
I believe every student can succeed in maths with the right guidance, encouragement, and support. My patient and friendly teaching approach creates a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying ahead, or preparing for assessments, I'm committed to helping them achieve their goals and develop skills that will benefit them well beyond the classroom.

With a passion for teaching, I tailor my lesson to fit the unique learning styles of each student, enriching them in confidence and a deeper understanding of key concepts.
A typical lesson lasts around 1 - 2 hours depending on the complexity of the concept and availability. Each lesson consists of clear explanations, guided practice and ends of with individual practice once the student is more confident with the concept. My teaching is rooted in fostering a supportive environment where the student can feel encouraged to ask questions and explore new ideas.
With a passion for tutoring younger learners and Grade 7 student, I bring a fresh perspective and effective strategies to my teaching. My lessons are specifically designed for Grades 4 to 5 but I am happy to teach other year levels as well.
