About Yi Fei
Hi there!
My name is Yi Fei and I studied NCEA Business Studies for the entirety of high school. I had a rank score of 320+ and an ATAR score of 99.95 in 2023, being among the top 30 students in New Zealand at the time. I tutor NCEA levels 11-13, but also year 9-10 in general.
I am currently a third year at the University of Queensland, studying Bachelor of Computer Science and Law (Honors). I have studied Commercial and Corporate Law, and plan to study Taxation Law next year. In general, I have around 7 years' worth of tutoring experience. I am a tutor at two respected tutoring organizations, teaching Accounting, Business Studies and Economics in both New Zealand and Australia.
Outside of tutoring, I am a level 3-4 law clerk at a city-centered Family Law firm, where I am constantly exposed to financial dealings in property settlement. I am also the Treasurer of the University of Queensland's Oncology Society, so I am never short on completing financial/tax statements and maintenance.

I am a big advocate for personalized lessons, focusing on consistent, smaller wins that build up into the final race for a student's main goal(s). My usual suggestion for lesson length is around 30-60 minutes, but for exam preparation or for the final assignment stretch, I strongly recommend a 2-hour session to break it down fully.
I am more of a hands-on tutor, encouraging student input and discussions to ensure that the student is engaged and implementing new knowledge into practice. However, I also acknowledge and understand that not every student finds this helpful. I try to get to know my students, so they are not left to either bear through a mini lecture or forced social interaction.
