About Nilakshi
My name is Dr. Nilakshi Phukan, and I am a faculty member at NC State University. I am a certified yoga instructor from the North Carolina School of Yoga in Raleigh. I have over 15 years of experience teaching various styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Hatha, and Raja Yoga, and Chair Yoga at several centers across the nation. Additionally, I have taught Silver Sneakers classes at the Morrisville Aquatic and Fitness Center for several years. Given the positive feedback from my students (age group 15 to 92) who find my unique style of yoga very beneficial, I am considering the possibility of offering yoga classes through this platform.

Each Ashtanga Yoga class is 1 hour long, which includes meditation, physical postures (Asanas), breathing techniques (Pranayama), concentration (Dharana), and a psychological approach centered on the practical system of mind control (Chakras)
