About Emma
I have 1 year of experience with a combination of both film and theatre teaching. I have taught small classes of 5-15 elementary, middle, and high school students. My experience teaching middle school students film acting culminated in a short film about bullying within a middle school environment.

Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a trained actor in the San Francisco Bay Area with a B.A. in Musical Theatre. My primary focus is in teaching beginning and intermediate acting to students of all ages using a combination of Stanislavski, which focuses on script analysis, and Meisner techniques, which focuses on acting organically, listening intently, and responding sincerely to other actors in the scene. My secondary focus is in teaching storytelling, as I have been a Finalist in a storytelling competition at San Jose State University. Some methods I use involve helping students access prior memories or emotions and assisting students in discovering or developing a background for their characters in order to bring truthfulness to their acting. As a teacher, I am supportive, patient, smiley, humorous, and passionate about theatre. I provide a free 30-minute trial lesson.
